Optimum load dissipation.
Deep foundations.
The deep foundations serve to dissipate the loads into the subsoil. In order to perform their function optimally, the piles must be designed very precisely as regards project conditions. Diameter, length, number and inclination of the piles must be adapted against the backdrop of the relevant ground conditions, the subsidence requirements and the course of the rails. The inclination of the piles in the ground allows both vertical and horizontal forces to be dissipated. The ground characteristics are tested by a Qualified Ground Expert approved by the Eisenbahn-Bundesamt (German Railway Authority – EBA).
