Well-placed.
The longitudinal bearer units LTEs.

The longitudinal bearer units LTEs are prefabricated units made of reinforced concrete and consist of two longitudinal sleepers connected like conductors at the ends and at the centre. Including a rubber mat, they lie as a rail pad on the rigid portal systems.

Dimensioning and reinforcement of the reinforced concrete compound cross-section are done on the basis of structural analysis requirements. The LTEs are two-element bearers and are already equipped at the works with the rail fasteners.

The LTEs installed in the Wülfrath field trial have a length of 10.78 m (centre distance = 10.80 m), a width of, overall, 2.165 m and a height of 65 cm plus the 3.8 cm high knuckles for the rail fasteners.
