The specialist for high loads.
Egg track fastener and Acoustical Loadmaster.
The egg track fastener and Acoustical Loadmaster systems are elastic rail fasteners with vulcanized elastomer sections, which were developed for local and long distance tracks for axle loads of up to 30 tonnes.
The two systems have similar structures. The rail is supported on the rib plate which has a vulcanized elastomer ring or elastomer section. This provides effective vibration damping and decouples the system from structure-borne noise. A conventional pad between the base of the rail and the rib plate compensates for unevenness and the peak stresses it causes.
The deflection of the egg track fastener (which gets its name from its oval “egg” shape) must not exceed 3 mm for structural reasons. It can be used for all the loads which are created by both local and long distance transport. The construction is such that the track gauge is reliably maintained. In the event of an overload it falls on to the concrete below, while maintaining its horizontal stability. The egg track fastener can be supplied with two or four fastening points depending on the user’s requirements. It can be used both on concrete (for example stationary type track) and on ballast bedding. The Acoustical Loadmaster allows deflection values of up to 4 mm. Its frame is designed so that it projects over the ends of the rib plate. The space between the rib plate and the base is also filled with elastomer and therefore also acts as an elastic lift-off guard. A maximum of four fastening points guarantees adequate lateral adjustment at all times. By adjusting to different bed rigidity values the Acoustical Loadmaster can be used on both ballast and non-ballast tracks which means that transitions between the two track types are possible without any problems.
