VIBRALast, Powerflex and elastic grooved rail turnouts.

VIBRALast is our latest product to close the gap between our ISOLast and Whisper Rail innovations. It consists of a channel system which is used with our Powerflex, a 2-component polyurethane-based material and can be easily extended around a grooved rail turnout. The system is sold ready for use and offers a wide range of planning opportunities. The deflection may be up to 2 mm. In addition the system is electrically insulating and therefore protects against stray currents.
Our permanently elastic product Powerflex can be used on its own to bed grooved rails. The material cures quickly after casting and can be inserted manually or mechanically. The latter is ideal for large projects. The deflection can be varied to suit customers’ requirements but it must not exceed 2 mm. No special measures must be taken for using the product and its disposal after removal is possible without incurring special costs.
The VIBRALast system has been extended in terms of its deflection for the use of elastic grooved rail turnouts. Below the base of the rail there are elastomer elements which have been modified so that the changed rigidity values of the turnout have been compensated and a maximum uniform deflection of 4 mm is achieved. As with VIBRALast the construction work is limited to the interfaces between the rail and turnout and the rail and existing track. These systems are ideal for road-based cross-sections for local transport systems.
