For a long future.
The operations check package.
After commissioning new track systems or spare parts, it is generally to be expected that the positioning will have altered since installation. We therefore recommend a thorough operations check once 4 – 6 weeks have elapsed, depending on the actual loads.
The check comprises a thorough inspection as well as remedy of any marks, if necessary. Added to this is the grinding of the tracks. This allows any ridges that have previously built up, for example on the stock rails, tongues or frog points, to be removed. This avoids consequential damage, such as cracks, bursts and rail fractures – and thus the risk of system failure and malfunction.
Other maintenance and servicing should be carried out once or twice a year, depending on the loads, in order to prolong the service life of points and systems accordingly.
This service package comprises:
- Visual inspection and function check of the system,
- Checking the geometry by means of a dimensional check of the functional dimensions,
- Checking the system positioning,
- Grinding the track,
- Visual inspection and grinding of the welded joints,
- Checking, cleaning and lubrication of the closure device,
- Straightening work.
